Certified Athletic Training Staff
Head Athletic Trainer: Jamie Adams, MEd, ATC,CES
Jamie Adams was named Cuyamaca's head athletic trainer in July of 2013. Prior to joining the Coyote family, she served five years as the assistant athletic trainer for the Sports Clubs program at UC San Diego. Adams has also spent time at Templeton High School in Templeton CA and worked with USA Water Polo. While with USA Water Polo, she traveled to several international competitions including the World University Games in Shenzen, China and the Junior Pan-Am Games in Montreal Canada. Adams is an approved Graston Technique Provider and a certified Corrective Exercise Specialist. In addition, she is a preceptor for the San Diego State University Athletic Training Education Program (ATEP). Adams also serves on several committees, including the National Athletic Trainers' Association Ethics Council and the California Athletic Trainers Association's Governmental Affairs Legislative Action Team. Adams received a bachelor's degree in sports sciences with an emphasis in athletic training from University of the Pacific before earning a master's in education leadership at Northern Arizona University.

Dr. Anthony joined our program in 2013 and is Board Certified in Family Practice and Sports Medicine. Along with Cuyamaca Athletics, he is a Team Physician for the US Olympic Training Center, San Diego Christian College and Santa Fe Christian High School. He is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCSD School of Medicine, adjunct professor at SDSU, and the primary care physician for the Alvarado Spine Institute. He has served on many boards, including the Governor’s Board for Alvarado Hospital and Medical Center, and the San Diego Academy of Family Practice. Team physician, Challenged Athletes Foundation, Million Dollar Ride since 2007. Dr. Anthony was voted among America’s best Family Medicine doctors by the Consumers’ Research Council of America in 2008.
James Youn, MD
Dr. Youn joins the Cuyamaca Sports Medicine team as our Kaiser contact. Originally from Chicago, Dr. Youn has been in Southern California since his sports medicine fellowship at UCLA. His primary focus is family practice and sports medicine.
