Laboratory information

The two well-equipped computer labs located in the new Business/Computer Science building offer students access to the latest equipment and technology used in the field of computer science. Beginning and advanced learners will find that the regular course offerings, combined with convenient open lab hours (below), provide a high-powered and satisfying learning environment for the pursuit of a degree, a certificate, or just some needed information.

SPRING 2013 LAB HOURS

In order to use any of the CIS computer labs during the hours posted you must be a CIS student. The hours posted are when the CIS labs are available to CIS students. Please check back periodically because hours are subject to change.

CIS students can use the labs even when there is a CIS class in session, please refer to lab policy (below) when using the CIS labs while there is a CIS class in session.

GENERAL COMPUTER LAB USE POLICY

CIS students can use the CIS computer labs when CIS classes are in session under the following conditions:

  • You must be enrolled in a CIS class at Cuyamaca College.
  • The instructor doesn't object (no tests or other special class projects are in progress).
  • Seats are available in the back 2 rows of the classroom.
  • You are able to work quietly - not disturbing the class.
  • No food or drinks allowed in the CIS labs.
  • You do not print during lecture. Printing is limited to homework only. Printing off the internet is not allowed.
CISCO LAB USE POLICY
  • Lab is closed unless tutor or instructor present.
  • Be Considerate of other students.  Please speak quietly.
  • No food or drinks allowed in the CIS labs.
  • Put phones on Vibrate.
  • Disconnect Equipment and delete router/switch configurations prior to leaving lab.
  • Place cables in proper place.
