• Adbusters. Smart, funny media analysis group aiming to bring real “truth in advertising.” Includes parodies of advertisements, and offers various ways to become a media activist.
• AdFlip.com. Bills itself as the most extensive collection of contemporary and historical print ads online.
• Advertising Age magazine. A useful resource for looking inside the advertising industry.
• False Advertising. A gallery of nasty ad and logo parodies.

Television

• ScreenSite. The single most useful academic film and television studies site. Includes links for production, history, audience analysis, and much more.
• TV Guide magazine. Useful commercial site for tracking trends in TV watching.
• CineMedia: Television. Billed as the largest media site on the net, CineMedia's television section is indeed a vast resource on all aspects of TV

Cyberculture

• Resource Center for Cyberculture Studies. Rich site for investigating all aspects of cyberculture. Includes bibliographies, reviews, course links, interviews with cyber theorists/critics, and more. Excellent resource run by David Silver.
• Berkman Center for the Internet and Society. Useful site, especially for the complex legal issues surrounding cyberspaces. Sponsored by the Harvard Law School.
• Cyberstudies Web Ring. Links to many of the major cyberstudies sites online.

Music

• All Music Guide As the name suggest, a very comprehensive guide to all forms of pop, rock and related musics.
• ArtistDirect: Music Very comprehensive mainstream site with links to message boards, chat rooms, fan sites, and news on performers.
• Billboard Magazine Long the main industry magazine, famous for its top sellers charts. Site includes much useful info, especially on the business side of pop music.
• Experience Music Project Located non-virtually in a stunning Frank Gehry designed building in Seattle, this virtual sight includes much great info on the history and present of rock music.
