  • The best database to use is the Academic Search Premier and Academic Onefile. It contains full-text articles from legal journals such as the ABA Journal.

So it is important that you use the Library Catalog to find the books. Cuyamaca Library also has purchased legal assistant books with focus on job search and career opportunities. 

Search using the keyword legal assistant (no plural) to retrieve more hits than the keyword paralegal.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook is a nationally recognized source of career information. It describes what workers do on the job, working conditions, the training and education needed, earnings, and expected job prospects in a wide range of occupations.

Occupational Outlook Handbook  is available online version. To find out about a specific occupation, click on the "OOH Search/A-Z Index" link located in the upper right corner of the page and then enter the occupation.
Another website is called

Magazines such as US News and World Report is a magazine that reviews current job trends.
