What is a journal article?
Articles
play a
predominant role in disseminating scholarly information. Scholarly
journals would include a wide range
of issues, from ability tests for employees to research on drugs
and the brain, the impact of AIDS on family members, and the ways
in which children learn.
Before you begin searching, please review the
characteristics of a scholarly journal so that you don't settle for
inappropriate magazine articles by mistake
How do I find a
journal article?
You have two online databases to
choose from. The first is called
General:Onefile
and the second on is called Health and wellness
How do I find a topic?
If you have no topic in mind, you
may want to begin searching for articles suing the following search
words.
- psychology
- child psychology
- adolescent psychology
- adulthood
- psychiatry
- social psychology
- cognitive psychology
- developmental psychology
- human behavior
Or, use narrower
terms such as:
- family marriage and women
- motivation
- emotion
- memory
- intelligence
- temperament
- emotion

- psychological disorders
