Online Learning

Are online classes right for you?

Online learning isn't for everyone. Online classes require self-discipline, technical skills, and more reading and writing than classes taken on campus. To find out if online classes are right for you, answer the questions in the "Is Online Learning For Me?" questionnaire.

The GCCCD District Online Success website has more information that will help you determine if online learning is for you.

Apply and Enroll

Students can enroll in many fully online and hybrid (partially online) courses at Cuyamaca College.

Explore the list of online courses to find courses you that meet your needs. Be sure to check instructor notes in the online schedule to find out if the instructor has any special requirements for the course, such as a required on-campus class orientation or software requirements.

The steps for enrolling and registering for online classes are the same as those for students on campus. See the Getting Started page to find out how.

Start Classes

Most online classes are accessed through Blackboard. Learn how to log in to Blackboard and other Blackboard tutorials.

Courses are usually made available in Blackboard on the first day of class. If you log in to Blackboard, but don't see your class, the instructor hasn't made it available yet. You can email your instructor to find out when it will be available.

Get Help

If you need help accessing Blackboard or WebAdvisor, please call the Cuyamaca College Help Desk at 619-660-4395 or email us at
