Attaining Optimal Health

Fee: $35.00 + $25.00 fee for book

This course teaches the student how to attain and maintain exceptional health while covering all aspects of health and nutrition. Students will learn about numerous proteins, common and uncommon grains and sweeteners, healthy and unhealthy fats and oils, vegetables, fruits, and dairy products. The course will also examine how health is affected by possible problems with our water and air, different diets, vitamins, minerals, herbs and other supplements and a great deal more. There is a $35.00 registration fee + a $25.00 materials fee. Course required materials will be supplied by the Price-Pottenger Nutrition Foundation (7890 Broadway, Lemon Grove). Please contact The Price-Pottenger Foundation at 619-462-7600 after your on-line registration is confirmed in order to pay your $25.00 materials fee. Fees must be paid before the first day of class and this class often fills up weeks early.

Have you ever wanted to learn how to make naturally fermented beverages, bread, or dairy products or grow sprouts and beans in just 2 to 3 days?  This four course series introduces students to fermentation methods designed to increase probiotics, minerals, and vitamins in everyday food and beverages that can easily be achieved in almost any home kitchen.
1.Get Cultured! Beverages $40-Make naturally fermented and natural carbonated non-alcohol beverages that are tasty, health, and loaded with probiotics.
2. Get Cultured! Sourdough Bread $80-Make and keep a wild yeast starter to make your own bread and other baked goods.
3. Get Cultured! Seeds and Sprouts $40-Grow beans, nuts, legumes, and pulse in just 2 to 3 days using very limited space.
4. Get Cultured! Dairy $80-Make feta cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, milk kefir, and yogurt with very few ingredients.

Chakra Healing

Fee: $75

Learn about the seven basic subtle energy stations in the human body.  Through meditation, lecture, and discussion, the course Chakra Healing is designed to allow students the unique opportunity to develop inner and outer awareness of the spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical ego and soul essence of the seven basic chakra.  Students are empowered to evaluate intuitively personal balances and imbalances in their energy centers. Student may be beginning or advanced meditators.

Meditation for Relaxation and Healing

Fee: $75

Meditation relaxes and heals allowing you to enjoy all aspects of your life. Learn more about your inner power. Set a positive intent to live a healthy and balanced life. Contact the "healer energy" within you for a total mind, body, and spirit experience. This class is designed for beginners and advanced meditators. Learn to break through any previous blocks inhibiting you from a deep and satisfying meditation.

Reiki Level One

Fee: $110

Learn about the philosophy, practice, and be attuned to traditional Usui Reiki by a qualified and dedicated Reiki Master.  Reiki assists the practitioner to balance, cleanse, clear and revitalize his or her own energies and others. Not only is Reiki a profound healing system, it is an enlightenment process!
Required handbook ($11): Sacred Discoveries Reiki One Handbook is purchased at through PayPal and delivered on the first day of class.
