as paid office hours, academic freedom, participation in shared
governance, intellectual property, classroom discipline, online
teaching, GCCCD faculty relationships and policy or procedural concerns.

is not only detrimental to the learning environment, it is illegal. This
workshop will cover the laws against sexual harassment, descriptions and
examples of sexual harassment, and suggestions on how to prevent sexual
harassment in your classroom.

This is an
orientation to Cuyamaca College’s student characteristics, services and
resources for faculty and students, and faculty processes and
procedures. We will provide a “Survival Kit” including College Catalog,
Class Schedule, campus map, Student Code of Conduct, important phone
numbers and contact people, and more. Seasoned instructors will share
their experiences and ideas about some of the do’s and don’ts and
practical strategies for surviving long evening and particularly
Saturday sessions. Then we will finish up with some “Nuts and Bolts”
before touring the campus to locate essentials like the mailroom and
duplicating. Refreshments will be served.
