Next in our series on student success, students and faculty members will be joining a discussion with the Governing Board concerning PDC (Personal Development Counseling) by faculty member Cindy Morrin. The PDC program at Cuyamaca College is the student success program that helps guide students with career, academic, and personal counseling. Courses are especially helpful for first year and re-entry students. A number of successful PDC programs have been developed at Cuyamaca College including an outreach program for high school students, Basic Skills students, and transfer students. The meeting continues our discussion concerning data, national initiatives about student success, and the California Leadership Alliance for Student Success, or CLASS Initiative, in which GCCCD is participating.
