Target audience: Current and prospective online instructors. The Online Learning and Teaching Committee is developing guidelines for qualification of online instructors. Online instruction currently spans the gamut from basic correspondence courses with little or no instructor involvement to highly engaging, student-centered learning environments. The goal of the forum is to engage participants in a dialogue of what works and doesn't work in online education, what qualifications should an instructor have before they are assigned to teach online and a review of the College's Online Learning and Teaching Standards of Good Practice.
