This interactive workshop will describe not only the processes and procedures for handling student discipline issues inside the classroom, but will examine ways to handle academic misconduct matters. The presenters will discuss the student conduct code as well as student discipline and due process procedures. The session will provide effective strategies for minimizing and managing disruptive behavior as well as link applicable California Education Codes to possible outcomes for handling disruptive behavior. Attendees will leave the workshop with numerous resources, including a step-by-step process for reporting and handling student discipline issues.
