The popularity of social technology is pervasive among students, and educators cannot afford to be left behind the learning curve. Fortunately, in these economically difficult times, many of the social media are free and can provide a popular alternative to the traditional classroom instruction. Learn how to use and incorporate two of these social technologies: Skype and Twitter. They offer ideal solutions as inexpensive tools for team-based education.
