Typography 101 - understanding terminology and good use of type

Are you using the word font, when it should be typeface? Where do we get point sizes? What does upper and lower case mean? When is it better to use serif versus sans serif fonts? This workshop will cover the terminology used for typography, and explore proper use of type in various applications from handouts to power point presentations. The presentation will include comparisons of good type usage with inferior and illegible uses of type.
