Teaching Methods and Strategies (4 hours) This course provides teaching tools needed to engage students in learning and increase student mastery of subject matter. Six teaching methods will be covered: problem-based learning, project-based learning, work-based learning, direct instruction, cooperative learning, and service learning. Strategies for integrating academic skills will be addressed and how they apply to the adult learner. Emphasis will be placed on how to integrate the disciplines of Math, Science and English Language Arts into career and technical education classes.
