Men’s Team takes 11th place at States!
The Coyote Men ran
extremely well in Woodward Park, Fresno. They took home 11th
place, which was the highest Cuyamaca has placed since 1993. The
team was led by Freshman Namer Yousif who finished the challenging 4
–mile course in 21:13, he was followed closely by his teammates
Tamru Alehegn and Captain Ryan Lawler, who both finished in 21:27.
Fourth on the team was Lee McAllister who finished in 21:36.
Rounding out the top 5 was Emmanuel Corvera who finished in 22:04.
The sixth Coyote for the day was Aaron Geisel who finished in 22:35.
And to round out the team was Tanner Perfect who ran 23:23. Their
outstanding finish for the season is a great sign for what the
Coyote men’s team can do in the spring for track!
The Coyote Men place 11th at the
Southern California Championships!
The Coyote Men’s team
ran very well despite the harsh weather conditions in Rancho
Cucamonga. The team was led by Namer Yousif who finished the 4-mile
course in 21:23. Second for the team was Ryan Lawler who finished
21:39, he was followed by Lee McAllister who finished in 21:46.
Fourth on the team was Tamru Alehegn who finished in 21:48. Rounding
out the top5 for the team was Emmanuel Corvera who finished in
22:00. Tanner Perfect placed 6th for the team, and
finished the course in 23:07. Following close behind Perfect was
Aaron Geisel, who finished in 23:09. Their So. Cal. performance
shows that the Men are ready to take on any and all challenges at
the California State meet.
Cuyamaca Men Conquer the Knights Invitational!
The Coyote Men ran very well at the first-ever
Knights Invitational to take home first place. The boys were led by
Freshman Lee McAllister who covered the difficult course at Balboa
Park fastest in a time of 21:20, to take first place overall. He was
followed closely behind by teammate Tamru Alehegin who finished in
21:21, taking second overall in the race. Namer Yousif completed the
Coyote sweep, settling in behind his teammates to take third overall
in a time of 21:23. The top five was rounded up by Ryan Lawler, even
after coming off of an injury, he finished a respectable fifth
overall in 21:45, and was followed by Emmanuel Corvera who finished
seventh overall in 21:54. The final tally put the Men's team at 18
points! Easily taking home the first place title. The Coyote Men are
now primed and ready to attack the Balboa course again in two weeks
when they compete at the 2011 Pacific Coast Conference
Men’s team finish Top 10 at the Southern
The Coyote Men’s team ran well at the SoCal
Preview, despite some minor injuries. Captains Ryan Lawler and
Emmanuel Corvera sat out the race because of small pains, but they
will be back as soon as they are ready to run! The team was led by
Lee McAllister who finished 19th overall in the fast
race, with a time of 21:35. The second Coyote to cross the finish
line was Namer Yousif who finished in 22:07. Namer was followed
closely by teammate Tamru Alehegin, who finished in 22:20. Aaron
Geisel was fourth on the team finishing the difficult course in
23:29. In his first race of the season, Tanner Perfect rounded out
the top five Coyotes in 24:15. The Coyote Men placed 10th
out of 30 as a team. This means that they are well on their way to
making the California
State meet. The Coyote’s
are hoping to improve their place when the SoCal Regional meet comes
Cuyamaca Men finish Top 5 at the Orange Coast
Despite the set-back of missing the Palomar
Invite because of the power outage, the Cuyamaca Men’s team ran well
at their first four mile race of the season! The team was led by Lee
McAllister, who finished 10th overall in a time of 20:58.
He was followed shortly by teammate Namer Yousif who finished 20th
in a time of 21:08. Third for the Coyote’s was Captain Ryan Lawler
who finished in a personal best time of 21:18. The top five was
rounded out by Tamru Alehegin and Emmanuel Corvera who finished
21:56 and 21:59 respectively. With this performance, the Coyote Men
clenched fifth place as a team! The team looks ready for big things
come the end of the season!
