Ontario, Calif.—
 The Cuyamaca Men and Women continue their high level of performance against state ranked opponents today at the Foothill Invitational held at Guasti Park. The men finished 3rd as a team behind 4th ranked Glendale (23) that upset the 2nd ranked team in San Bernardino Valley (39). Also the men were able to hold off the 13th ranked East LA College (107). 
 
Again leading the men was Emmanuel Corvera who finished 8th in the field of 117 with a 4 mile time of 21:15. Lee McAllister was again second for the Coyotes finishing in 21st place with a time of 21:51.
 
With a mini-breakthrough freshmen, Ryan Maize was the teams 3rd place finisher with a season best time of 22:26 and Aaron Geisel was right behind him in 22:30. Coming in as the final scorer for Cuyamaca for the first time this year was Jesse Beason who is just now finding his way back into shape and ran a time of 22:49.
 
Rounding out the top 7 were Austin Kelley and Connor Macky at 23:13 and 23:26 respectively. 
 
The women were equally as impressive as they finished 4th place behind Glendale the number 2 ranked team in Southern California with 23 points, Conference rival and 11th ranked Palomar and the 13th ranked Santiago Canyon. The Coyotes were only 12 points behind Santiago and look to overtake them in the next few weeks to try and cement a trip to the state meet.

Team wise the ladies took 5 minutes off their team time from two weeks ago to finish with an average of 21:09. Individually Paige Hughes continued to lead the Coyotes but improved huge with an almost 1 minute season best as she clocked a school record time of 18:49 en route to a 3rd place finish losing to Grace Zumido of Glendale who is undefeated so far this season. Seleena Boubion had a huge race as she finished as the teams number 2 runner for the first time with a huge PR of 21:29. Runners 2-5 all finished within 31 seconds of each other as Betty Covarrubias ran 21:40, Kailene Gin also with a huge PR at 21:49 and Ashley Fishman with a 32 second PR in 22:00.  Rounding out the top 7 was Kailin Anderson who moved to #22 on the Cuyamaca Best of the Century list with her time of 22:32 and Sarah Snyder who moved into 26th spot with her time of 22:52.
 
The lady Coyotes will compete at the Brubaker Invite this week as most of the men take the week off while a few of them will compete at the Mesa Invite.
